In one accord, the believers led by the Prophet of God Abraham Richard Bisaso worshipped whole heartedly together as they laid down their hearts to the King of kings and Lord of lords. Amidst the harmonious worship, the Prophet taught the believers a very valuable lesson in regards to coming before the Lord. He noted that as long as you are in flesh, you cannot be without sin; however, the good news is that we have a great High Priest who pleads for us.
1John 2:1-2: My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father – Christ Jesus
You can never speak about breakthrough, healing or deliverance without first seeking for repentance. This must be the first step whenever you are privileged to come before God. Therefore begin by asking Him to have mercy upon you if you sense any sin in your spirit. Present yourself to the High Priest and admit your wrongs.
With this message engraved in their hearts, the Prophet then steered the expectant congregation into the message of the day titled, “Son of David, Have Mercy.”
With reference from the book of Galatians 5:16-22: The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies and the like. I warn you, as I did before, those that live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (NIV)
Prophet Abraham Richard noted that as long as you have any of the above mentioned, you have all that is listed and in the same accord, when you are delivered from one, you are delivered from all. Therefore, as a Child of God, you should be well aware that you cannot go to Christ Jesus without asking Him for mercy and forgiveness.
Citing an example of blind Bartimaeus, in the gospel of Saint Mark 10:46-52. The Prophet revealed to the believers that Blind Bartimaeus got a deeper revelation on whom Christ truly was. That is why he sought for mercy instead of healing. Even when People around him tried to stop him with claims that he was shouting, he did not dare stop because he had seen a man who was able to take away his sins. Instead he called out more for Christ, the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world to have mercy on him saying; Son of David, have mercy on me!
Bringing this down to a twenty first century Christian, the Prophet said that the moment you are convinced that Christ is passing by, do not tire to seek for His mercy. As a believer who knows your spiritual stand, you cannot talk about blessing, breakthrough or healing without talking about repentance first because if Christ has mercy on you, the rest is nothing.
As a take home note the Prophet said, “Never feel condemned when you do what the spirit wants and not what the world wants because there is no law against the Spirit. “
Prayer: Son of David, have Mercy upon me.
