“It needs a Prophet to detail and interpret for you the Word of Prophecy.” Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso remarked the moment he took position at the pulpit. With that he led the believers into the prophetic message of the day titled, “Somebody needs your attention.”
From the Gospel of Saint Mark 7:1-20; the Prophet took his reading: 5So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating food with ‘unclean’ hands?” 6He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it was written: These people honour me with their lips but their hearts are far away from me. 7They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ 8You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” (NIV)
Molding flesh onto this scripture, the Servant of God noted that the Pharisees are a representation of some Christians today. For even today we are substituting the Word of God with worldly principles to fulfill our desires. In short, Christians today are making short cuts in order to get what we desire and that is what Christ was telling the Pharisees.
Citing verse 9, the Prophet said that Christians today have twisted the Word of God because we want to satisfy our desires. Instead of honouring and caring for our parents as instructed by the Word of God, we claim that we have to care for God first.
However, before we so much want to care for God, let us ask ourselves a question, “Where is God?” The answer is before us for God is in that parent and neighbour of ours that we are not caring for because we share different faith.
Going deeper in the message, he revealed that the commands of God are very clear and straight, “Honour parents and love your neighbour,” but we have twisted His Word to fit our fleshly pursuits.
This act of twisting the Word of God is a very dangerous road to trek because it will lead us to destruction. When we are not moving by God’s Word, we will be in battle with God and that is a battle we will not win.
Putting this message down, the servant of God said, “When I say honour or give, I am not talking about money only. I am talking about giving out your precious time, a piece of advice, listening, and forgiving etal.” Just because someone has hurt us, this should not in any way stop a true Christian from loving them.
We have People who are in need of help all around us, but we have dumped them because we are “so holy and so righteous.” How can you be an inspiration to People when you do not care for them? When we come before the LORD, He does not look at our physicality or smartness.
“He looks through us in a “care mirror” to see those you care for and the gladness in their hearts for you. If He sees crying and complaining, be rest assured, there is no salvation for you.”
However, if He sees them happy and blessed, there is salvation. This means that even before we call upon angels in the Spirit to pray for us, there are pleading angels (parents, neigbours, co-workers) already praying for you and God is listening to their prayers.
For it is these earthly angels that speak to the Heavenly Father knowingly and unknowingly. The good and bad we do to People is the amount of blessing or curses that do come back to us from the LORD’S Table.
Prophet Abraham Richard assured the believers that as long as they do not have anyone depending on them, they cannot prosper. If we need blessings from God, we should be concerned about someone. If you have a lot of battles around you, do charity. This is because a prayer of more than one person is stronger than one man’s prayer. (Acts 9:32-43)
Summing up this devotional message, Prophet Abraham Richard taught the believers a valuable lesson from our master Christ Jesus. He said that Christ never stopped to do what was right as per the Will of God.
Even though He was rejected, He never rejected anyone and truly, if we say we are His disciples, we must emulate the same character. It is the World to reject us not us to reject it.
Dear Quality Christian, the truth is you can never run or hide away from the truth. Look the truth is before you and close to you. It is pointing at your neighbours and parents and it is saying; they need your attention.
May God give you the Grace to put this message in practise. Remember it is not money alone that the World needs. There is a lot you have that they need.
