As the calendar smiled 10th September 2022, the splendid awaited day approached as different believers from diverse districts in Uganda arrived at the Prayer -mountain; as those overseas tuned in to Dew radio from different Nations across the globe ready and eager to hear what the LORD had for them.
As they stepped in the LORD’s presence, the True Vine Communion Ministries choir ushered them into a soulful moment of praise and worship leaving the house of God on fire. Thereafter, the Spirit of God through His Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso remarked:
“Good morning believers, I want to believe you are okay regardless of the situation you are going through. Today I will take my reading from the book of Joshua chapter 24 [NIV]:
1Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges and officials of Israel, and they presented themselves before God.
2 Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your ancestors, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River and worshiped other gods.
3 But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the Euphrates and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendants. I gave him Isaac, 4 and to Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. I assigned the hill country of Seir to Esau, but Jacob and his family went down to Egypt.
5 “‘Then I sent Moses and Aaron, and I afflicted the Egyptians by what I did there, and I brought you out. 6 When I brought your people out of Egypt, you came to the sea, and the Egyptians pursued them with chariots and horsemen as far as the Red Sea.
7 But they cried to the Lord for help, and he put darkness between you and the Egyptians; he brought the sea over them and covered them. You saw with your own eyes what I did to the Egyptians. Then you lived in the wilderness for a long time.
8 “‘I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land.
9 When Balak son of Zippor, the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor to put a curse on you. 10 But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand.
11 “‘Then you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The citizens of Jericho fought against you, as did also the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites and Jebusites, but I gave them into your hands.
12 I sent the hornet ahead of you, which drove them out before you—also the two Amorite kings. You did not do it with your own sword and bow. 13 So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.’
14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.
15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
16 Then the people answered, “Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods! 17 It was the Lord our God himself who brought us and our parents up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes.
He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled. 18 And the Lord drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. We too will serve the Lord, because he is our God.”
19 Joshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins. 20 If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”
21 But the people said to Joshua, “No! We will serve the Lord.”22 Then Joshua said, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen to serve the Lord.” “Yes, we are witnesses,” they replied.
23 “Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” 24 And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.”
When you study this whole scripture; you will come to realize that God continuously seeks men for renewal of their covenant and relationship with Him.
God’s Servant Joshua having observed where the LORD had brought them from, and how the people of his generation were behaving [moving contrary to his expectation]; he called them together and gave them the LORD’s message: ‘If you do not serve God who saved you, He Himself will destroy you.’
Meaning when you deny serving the LORD with all your heart, you are digging a dead pit. Reflect on where you are coming from with God it will be reason enough to humble yourself because tomorrow is a mystery.
This is the reason for my being here, I want to remind you of the first miracle you received from Christ Jesus and have forgotten. You are asking for a new miracle today yet have dropped the first one. When you look at where you are today, it is not where you were yesterday; meaning someone in the Spirit is working.
Today you are fainting, collapsing and abusing God because of your situation, come on, this is wrong let your covenant be renewed. Truth be told, I do not know your covenant with God but with experience allow me talk to you. Many of our brothers and sisters have passed on [men and woman we treasured] yet you are alive. So, do what is right now such that you can have a bright future tomorrow.
Did you know that you can be chained by the covenant you made with God, if you refuse to serve HIM with all your heart? Look at Jonah’s story, there was no demon that attacked him while at the sea, rather, God Himself was against him [Jonah chapter 1].
Believers, do you know what it means to command a situation to leave your life yet it is Christ Jesus who brought it upon you? Then let us wake up and seek God, it will help us put ourselves right with Him.
As you are listening to me, different questions may arise like: “What covenant did I make with God, when and how did we make one?” Well, the answer to this is: The day the LORD saved you is the day you made a covenant with Him.
Unless you look closely, you can never breakthrough from that level where you are. Remember the Word of God says, if the LORD be beside you, who can be against you? [Romans 8:21]. No one. Meaning no demon is stronger than you.
So, if you come to Christ and denounce Him, it is a clear sign that you do not trust God. If you cannot stay in Christ there is no relationship on earth you will ever maintain because, it is the easiest. Many of our relationships have failed because we have failed even in Christ.
Our father in the LORD David writes that it feels good to be in God’s presence because we feel complete. Therefore, put yourself right, things will be well. The reason why Healing is very easy to a mature Christian is because they know it is not by their might but Christ’s.
Am I communicating something believers? Our hearts are sick and this is the problem we have right now. Remember, whatever we receive from God has a price and you can never escape what God said about you.
That is why victory is not only for the strong but even the weak. Everyone has a story of where they are coming from.
As I conclude, I want to remind you that a man that fears God has a strong relationship with Him. And as we celebrate TVC Birthday, this day was made for us to examine ourselves with God and to remind us where we are coming from.
May the LORD bless His word upon you and thank you for listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit.”
