Amos 3:7 affirms that: Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his Servants the Prophets. This means, that as long as the sun still rises and sets, Prophets too shall live, for they are God’s spokesmen. Through them, the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord communicates God’s saving Will to Nations, societies and to individuals.
This time around, God’s saving Will pointed at West Africa, to Africa’s most populated country Nigeria. As the Nation, Nigeria was coming close to its 9th Presidential elections that were initially scheduled for 16th February 2019.
Two days prior to the Election Day, on 14th February 2019. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord the lips of His Servant Prophet of God Abraham Richard Bisaso revealed about the Nation of Nigeria, “When we talk about the Nation Nigeria in this time of elections. As a Servant of God I would say; that the best President is Muhammadu Buhari depending on the state and reasons best known to God. There maybe two stones and they are both dirty but one is dirtier.”
It should be noted that the 2019 Nigerian Presidential Elections had 73 candidates running for President. However among the many two presidential candidates stood out profoundly with more potential win the race.
That is incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari from the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) and his closest rival Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Buhari and Atiku are both northern Muslims in their 70s and who have long been in politics. Buhari is seen by many as a strict, inflexible but personally incorruptible figure.
His perceived inability to deal fairly with government corruption, autocratic tendencies and failure to deal with the many threats facing Nigerians, more so the insecurity in the north-eastern of Nigeria; plus his renowned alleged prosecution of his opponents have made his political career somewhat dirty.
On the other hand was Atiku, a wealthy businessman and former vice-president, who many hoped, that with his enact policies to he would boost Nigeria’s struggling economy.
However, no matter who was better hither and thither, it all laid in God’s balance. For His Will and wits are forever supreme and no man can ever bend them. As Lamentation 3:37-38 says that “Who can speak and have pt happen if the Lord has not decreed? Is it not from the mouth of the Most high that both good calamities and good things come.” (NIV)
No sooner had the Prophet revealed the Spirit’s view of these elections, than media houses in Nigeria came out with breaking news; of how the Electoral Commission had postponed the voting by a week at 03:00 on the original polling day, citing logistical challenges in getting electoral materials to polling stations on time.
A week later on 23rd to 24th February 2019, Nigerians voted for their next president. With ballots from all 36 states counted, Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 15.2m votes compared with 11.3m for Atiku Abubakar’s People’s Democratic Party.
On Wednesday 27th February 2019, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Muhammadu Buhari the winner of the country’s election, after results showed that he claimed 56% of the vote from 19 states – including the two most populous, Lagos and Kano – while Abubakar was victorious in 17.
After winning his reelection bid, Buhari was issued a Certificate of Return and was sworn in for his second term as Nigerian President on May 29, 2019. In the Spirit’s view Muhammadu Buhari’s wily victory affirms what the Prophet revealed that, “… There maybe two stones and they are both dirty but one is dirtier.”
However, the LORD knows better why He has allowed him back in office as Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso revealed, “… As a Servant of God I would say that the best President is Muhammadu Buhari depending on the state and reasons best known to God…”
Concurrently, like every leader, President Muhammadu Buhari too has a number of challenges waiting on him in this new term of office. Nevertheless the God who saw him worthy and fit to serve another term as president, will see him through for God reveals to save.
Epilogue: To a Christian, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari re -election is the true depiction of how God’s Grace to mankind through Christ Jesus His Son operates. None of us is deserving or faultless but its Christ’s Grace that covers up our weaknesses. It is only God who is righteous and faultless and His plans for us are forever good.
Prophecy is our Foundation.
