Motives! Motives! Motives!

In shouts of praise and adoration to the Author of faith- Christ Jesus, the Prophet of God Abraham Richard Bisaso took his position at the pulpit in the Holy Ghost clout.

His first statements to the house of believers were, “I thank the Lord that I am here. I just want to tell you what is in God’s heart today.” With divine insight, he unveiled the message of the day titled, “Motives! Motives! Motives!” as he guided the believers into the book of James 4:1-4:

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2You want something but you do not get it. You kill and covet but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have because, you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. (NIV)

The Prophet said that the undeniable reason as to why some Christian’s prayers have been delayed is because they have mastered the art of lying to themselves and God. They claim and confess what they are not inside their spirits.

This has led many to doubt God and calling Him unfaithful but the truth is He is forever faithful and true, the problem is you. What you portray outside is not what you are inside and this has greatly affected your output in all the spheres of your life.

Meaning the confession you make with your lips does not match what is in your heart. It is like talking about Jesus, God and Heaven yet you do not know anything about them.

God is a Spirit and He searches the deep motive within your spirit. He searches intently as to why you need that breakthrough, blessing or the Grace to serve Him. You can never go into prayer with evil and vile motives and think that you can corrupt God. No! God can never be corrupted; He will first search your heart to find out what your real motives are.

He revealed that what is delaying your prayers is asking from God with wrong motives. You come to Church every Sunday and make the loudest prayer and those around you think you are truly making a genuine prayer. Prayer is not about shouting, emphasised the Prophet.

Prayer is speaking the truth in your heart to God. Remember He is not man to be lied too. He will look at your motives as to why you are requesting for whatever you are asking for and the spirit that has inspired you to pray.

The issue is not what you are asking from God but the state of your heart. Always come to God with a repentant heart. God is so faithful; He operates through a free heart and clear spirit; which can only be attained when the Holy Spirit is in you.

Highlighting James 4:3, Prophet Abraham Richard asserted that there is a need to check the status of your heart at all times before we go to the LORD. This is because where there is no Holy Spirit in your heart, there is no perfect prayer you can make.

Take an example of the Biblical blind Bartimaeus, his crying for Christ’s help was genuine. Simply because the Holy Spirit was his inspiration. He was whispering to him to shout louder and he received his sight.

However, some Christians today are copying the faith of Blind Bartimaeus but their motives are evil and corrupt that is why they are not receiving. Remember that a corrupted heart with evil motives cannot produce anything Godly. The truth is you need the Holy Spirit and you need to be true.

To the seven Churches, the Prophet of God expounded that being unfaithful inside us yet pretending to be faithful Christians is what has eaten up many Christians today. You need to be true to God in your hearts.

If you are not good, do not preach it to others. If you do not have love, do not preach it. This is because what you preach will have no results and yet Christ is result orientated. What affects your output are the wounds and battles in your heart. This way, the Holy Spirit will never support your prayers and vice versa.

Summing up this truth succulent message from the heart of the God, His servant cautioned the house that whenever you come before the LORD to ask for anything you can get it. However, be sure that He will answer you as per His will, not your evil motives.

God is not a son of man to lie. Just check your heart for where there is love, God shall be. Where there is truthfulness, God shall be.

However, be sure that He will answer you as per His will, not your evil motives. God is not a son of man to lie. Just check your heart for where there is love, God shall be. Where there is truthfulness, God shall be.
