Miracles are killing the Church today.

Like an epitome of faith, Seer Abraham Richard Bisaso strode to the pulpit and led the believers into another Spirit orchestrated message titled, “Miracles are killing the church today.’’ To the enthusiastically waiting congregation, the Prophet began by unveiling that the biggest problem challenging the Church today is the miracles. We are a generation moved by food and miracles. We are looking for bread and this is the reason why we move from one Church to another.  He asserted that, bread is anything physical like money, marriage, healing, big house or food; and the pursuit of these have turned the Church blind to see real essence of salvation.

Breaking down this Church-mirror message, the Prophet turned to Holy Scriptures; the Gospel of Saint John 6:2: And the great crowd of people followed Him because they saw a miraculous sign He had performed on the sick. (NIV)

With caution, the Prophet reflected that as the crowds followed Jesus because of the miracles He had done in their midst, the same is happening even today. We too are following Jesus not because we are seeking eternal life, but because we need miracles. Even when we saw miracles the first time, we were not challenged to seek for what is deeper (eternal life). Instead we are addicted to miracles; alas we keep on demanding for more and more miracles but not salvation of our souls.

Miracles do not prove one to be the Lord or great, the Prophet highlighted.  Abraham did not perform any miracle but he was a friend of God. Meaning, even though Christ did not heal anyone, He would have remained the Christ and Lord of lords. That means your situation does not change who Christ is, for the LORD is not willing to lose you on account of miracles.

While concluding, Seer Abraham Richard Bisaso magnified to the house of believers that, in everything you see happens around your life, get to know that Christ is using it to shape your soul for salvation. Meaning God can perform a miracle for your neighbour just to build up your own faith for eternal life. Delay does not mean rush, nor does it mean God is not going to do it. We should stop following/ chasing miracles but follow the way of the Spirit of God.

 Lessons to note:

  3. Abraham did not perform any miracle but he was a friend of God.
  4. God can perform a miracle for your neighbour just to build up your own faith for eternal life.
  5. Delay does not mean rush, nor does it mean God is not going to do it.
  6. The LORD is not willing to lose you on an account of miracles.
