HOW CAN ONE HIDE IN CHRISTIANITY?

As the month of October was biding farewell, the believers at True Vine Communion Ministries danced in honour of God for the wonderful month of October. During this precious moment, the Spirit of God sent His Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso with a message to convey to the believers; he asserted:

“Good morning believers in the name of Christ Jesus, wherever you are, confess with me this: satan shame upon you; I am in the LORD’s presence, to fellowship with Him.”

From there he continued; “The revelation concerning land wrangles that was revealed, it is only God who has a solution and which is meant to glorify His name.

Every revelation has a silver lining in it and we need to examine it the right way. When you read scripture, the word of God says, let the weak run to God [Job 5:19] because no one can match with the world and overcome without God.

As we share, I also want you to take to note: A good Christian is a good citizen. If you do not take care of your neighbour, he/she will riot against you, so to avoid this, play your part by showing them love. This is my piece of advice to you.”

From the wonderful piece of advice, Prophet Abraham Richard Bisaso led the believers in the message of the day as he answered a very vital question.

He echoed, “I want to share with you a short question that I was asked and I found so interesting:

Question: How can one hide in Christianity?

Believers, let me pick it from the message I last shared with you about Christ being the only solution to our entire problems. I pray that you get it right.

Today, our biggest problem is fear for tomorrow –‘the future’. Many of us are not aware that God is the future, we think there is another future waiting for us. However, as long as we live in this world, we will never be satisfied unless God is in our hearts. The day you will leave this Earth, you will return to God, so bear in mind that He is your only solution and learn to appreciate Him for that you call little so that you can receive more according to His will.

However, hiding in Him when our motives are not clear is what we refer to as hiding in Christianity. It is very possible for one to be in the presence of God when their motive is to get what they want from Him then leave His presence.

Let us examine the book of Acts of Apostles chapter 8:9-20 [NIV]: Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, 10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”

11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery. 12 But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.

14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!

This story is talking of someone called Simon who hid himself in Christianity to gain his own evil motives. The reason he came to the Apostles was to get more power to add in his sorcery. With this, allow me ask you a question believer. Why are you in Christ, why do you fast, pray, give, and dress the way you do? Is it because you need Eternal life or you are fulfilling your evil motives?

For it’s with no doubt that behind every action there is a spirit. A bad spirit brings destruction yet a good Spirit brings flourishing results. Your enemy can feed you for a thousand years yet he alone knows the reason why he is feeding you; watch out not to do anything for self-satisfaction. Let people admire you for your worship not corruption because it is improper.

When we future proceed with the story of Simon the magician; having seen Philip’s congregation, as he preached the gospel of our Lord Christ Jesus, he -Simon was compelled to ask Philip for advice so that he would acquire extra powers to draw fame, this was a wrong motive.

Meaning not everyone that follows Jesus and is baptized by water is born again, that is why it is too early to say that you are born again because we do not know Christ. Remember, He is not seen by the words we speak, rather, the way we behave.

You will come to realize that ninety percent of Christians in Church are pretenders, they are looking for physical attributes like money, marriage, leadership positions, wealth etal. So, whoever is doing this while in Christ is Simon the sorcerer, let us put ourselves right with God because there is no market or hospital that sells Eternal life.

We need the Holy Spirit as a Church to help us, however, without God’s approval; He can reject us like Simon the magician. Nonetheless, the Church today does not know this truth and it is why everyone is starting up a Church.

Whenever your motives are evil, you will never receive what is spiritual from the Holy Spirit because He examines our motives before we receive from the LORD. When you read the story of the Canaanite woman, Jesus did not attend to her immediately because, He was weighing her motives. So, it was not a mistake for Jesus to delay.

As I wind up, I want to believe you are blessed with this Word of God and it cannot be substituted, all you need is to repent, the LORD is merciful He can deliver you. Be blessed!
